Rita’s Fashion was founded in October 2015 by the late First Lady, Tafuamaseafa Olita Nomani Faualo. What began as a humble venture, sewing puletasi outfits from a few pieces of fabric and selling them at the local Fugalei Markets in Samoa, has blossomed into an international brand. Despite many challenges, Olita’s unwavering faith in God and her determination enabled her to overcome obstacles and achieve remarkable success. Starting from a small market stall, Rita’s Fashion has grown to include three stores—two in Samoa and one in Sydney, Australia. By 2018, the brand had officially expanded internationally. Named after her youngest daughter, Rita Rehman, who now manages the Sydney store, Rita’s Fashion remains a proud family business. Faith, family, and a deep love for sharing the Pacific’s hidden treasures are at the heart of Rita’s Fashion. Every piece is unique, hand-painted in Samoa, and designed to make every woman feel beautiful and one of a kind. Through their collections, they showcase the stunning artistry and culture of Samoa, sharing its beauty with the world. On February 19, 2023, the beloved founder, Tafuamaseafa Olita Nomani, passed away. Her legacy lives on as the family continues to honor her vision by supporting the Pacific community and sharing its rich traditions through Rita’s Fashion.
